Lights, Camera, Action…
Happy Knookday! For those of you I haven’t yet been introduced to, my name is Lindsay Glenn, and I’m the Director of Knit, Crochet, and now Knooking at Leisure Arts.
The Knook is our latest and greatest. Just think?! Now you can knit with a crochet hook!! It’s a great tool for everyone…knitters…crocheters…and newbies to the craft scene, too!
We’ve been very busy picking great new projects to showcase the Knook—like these drink cozies. You can support your favorite team with these cuties. I did! Let’s just say I picked the colors (go Pearson Panthers…and Gilbert Yellowjackets...I threw in the Packers for all the Green Bay fans….heheh).
and these…
Who doesn’t have a little someone in their life to whip up these leg warmers for?? Shootie.
We’ve also been working hard to film video content to support our patterns and all the fancy knitting techniques.
This is our camera. Very technical.
That’s me (in the specs…or lensies) and Sarah Green. Sarah’s one of our knit and crochet writers and tech editors. Very smart and very spunky. We’re waiting to film the intro and checking out my mani (I think she approves).
This is Katherine Laughlin—our “Girl Friday”. Need I say more?
This is Mark Hawkins, our camera guy. He’s upside down and very, very patient with us (did I say very?). This is what he really looks like:
Okay seriously, this is him.
Yeah…it may all look like fun and games, but it’s really hard work. See?
I’m not sure what Sarah’s doing here, but she seems quite focused.
I’m smiling while I’m swatching (I’m a multi-tasker). Sometimes I sing, too, “I’d like to teach the world to Knook, and make some cutie things…” We are working furiously though, as usual.
Here’s the part where I give you a little sneak peek at some of the new techniques you’ll learn in our next videos.
Ohhhooohhhh…….
Ahhhhahhhhahhhhh…..
And now, for the good stuff—the GIVEAWAY. Yay! We are giving away two Knook kits! Whoohoo!
To enter, leave a comment below with your favorite pet’s name.
Like this:
“This is Lindsay from Little Rock, and my dog’s name is Winnie Mandela Rockefeller Esmerelda Glenn.”
Yep, that’s really her name, but we just call her “Winnie” for short.
We will announce the winners at the end of the tour. If you just can’t wait, then head over to your local WalMart and pick up a Knook (if you haven’t already). Then, stop by our website at LeisureArts.com and click on “The Knook” for more fabulous patterns and instructional demos. See you there!

ReplyDeleteJonna from Minnesota here wishing for a Knook kit. And my favorite pet's name is Blue who would LOVE me to learn how to Knook and make him more kitty afghans.
ReplyDeleteKitten from San Francisco, CA. My favorite pet was my last, and unfortunately I had Sgt. Joe Universe of Space Force DownUnderLand (Aussie shepard) for less than a year before I had to give him away, when I moved into a no-pets apartment. He went to a good family with kids and lots of room, which was better for him. I'm loving all these wonderful stories and names.
ReplyDeleteMax Robinson from Seattle, WA. Today my favorite pet is Oscar, our African Grey Parrot, because he's been giving me such sweet looks lately. Tomorrow it might be our cat Emma--a female red tabby, which is pretty uncommon--or our male Eclectus parrot, Tiko, who is bright green with a candy-corn color beak. Since it has a "tail", I'm sure Emma would like playing with a knook almost as much as I would!!!

Lucy's nick-name is QB1 (short for Queen Bi**h #1. Nattie had been so badly abused when we found her that she has never learned to give or accept affection normally, but she does the best she can and is a very sweet and loving cat. Flower, our only boy, is a darling gentleman who is a big tough guy who is super gentle with the girls.
