Happy Sunday Y’all! I just realized that it’s been a really long time since I updated you on the latest additions to my assorted vintage collectibles collections.
Vintage Collectibles Find #1: I picked up a set of Homer Laughlin Wheat Americana dishes from the 1950s at an antique mall the other weekend! I just love this pattern, but this is the first time I’ve ever been able to find this many pieces of it in such good shape. It’s usually chipped or cracked!
Vintage Collectibles Find #2: I got this Elgin Hunter’s Case pocket watch at an auction. From what I can discover on the internet, it dates back to 1902! And it still works!
Vintage Collectibles Find #3: Some crystal salt & pepper shakers to add to my already overflowing collection.
Vintage Collectibles Find #4: This way cool lady in a vintage fencing outfit in a neat old frame. The frame is even embellished with foils and gauntlet.
Vintage Collectibles Find #5: I scored on a bunch of Amber Madrid pattern depression glass dishes. They were originally made by the Federal Glass Company in 1932-1939! I now have Madrid depression glass plates, two platters, cups and saucers, sherbets and sherbet plates, candle holders, salt and pepper shakers, creamer and sugar bowl, a butter dish, and a vegetable bowl!
What I need now is another china cabinet the house my collections...

In all my years of haunting antique stores, etc., I have never seen your wheat pattern dishes! Yes, I've seen other wheat patterns but not this one! How exciting for you to find them. My favorite thing to collect (out of many) are restaurant ware cream pitchers.

ReplyDeleteHi Nancy! I see a lot of the wheat dishes here in Arkansas, but they're usually in terrible shape! And hey, I collect cream pitchers, too!
